Visitors will have the opportunity to win a unique piece of art from emerging artists, and help the community too. Each artist is offering original artwork as a prize to be raffled off at the end of the exhibition, with all proceeds being donated to the Penticton & District Community Resources Society (PDCRS) charity for their Family Assistance Program Fund. Tanya Behardien, Executive Director of the Penticton and District Community Resources Society said: “We are so pleased that the arts community is pulling together to support children and their families in such a creative way. The generosity of the artists and the arts community will go a long way in supporting our children’s programs and services. We can all use a little help from time to time and the funds raised from this event will directly benefit the children and families we serve.”
The Art House Art Show and open house will last for the whole weekend, giving viewers a chance to visit on Sunday, too (from 12 to 6pm), then from Dec 1-4, the exhibition will be open 3-7pm each day. Artworks will be available to purchase via cash or cheque. The artists are also accepting donations for the PDCRS Family Assistance Program Fund.
Parking is available in marked spots directly in front of the entrance, or street-side closer to Dawson Avenue.
